Waxahachie High School
Honor the past by giving back to Waxahachie High School Seniors
Since 1986 the Waxahachie Ex-Students’ Association has awarded an annual scholarship to a graduating WHS senior. This student must have at least one parent who also graduated from Waxahachie High School. By maintaining satisfactory college performance, these students may receive up to four years of scholarship payments.
Do you know a deserving WHS senior? Click to download our Scholarship Application. Completed applications should be provided to Ms. Kathryn Aday at WISD by March 30, 2013. Other scholarship forms are available at the Waxahachie High School website.
Contributions from former students are the sole source of these scholarships, with honor classes each year being the largest contributors. All gifts are tax deductible.
To make a contribution to the scholarship fund, simply use the attached Scholarship Contribution form.
Honor Class Gifts
Many classes have started saving five years in advance to make major anniversary gifts, such as for their 50th high school graduation anniversary. For example, the class of 1957 presented the Ex-Students’ Association with a check for $10,557. They currently hold the record for the largest single contribution.
Alumni Class Scholarship
A new program the Ex-Students’ Association is sponsoring would allow classes to create a scholarship in their class name to be presented at the WHS Scholarship Night. If interested, please contact the WHS Ex-Students Association at firstname.lastname@example.org.
